Lake in the Hills car fire slows traffic Wednesday morning on Randall Road

LAKE IN THE HILLS – A car fire backed up traffic Wednesday morning on Randall Road.

Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Fire Protection District Assistant Chief Mike Kern said there were no injuries in what he described as a normal car fire.

The fire, which started about 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, forced Lake in the Hills police to briefly reduce traffic to one lane on southbound Randall Road, south of Acorn Lane.

The car was on fire near Costco on Randall Road.
