McHENRY – A Tuesday morning crash sent a driver to the hospital with minor injuries after his car hit a utility pole, according to the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash happened about 6:20 a.m. Tuesday in the 1200 block of Chapel Hill Road.
The driver of a 2010 Nissan was traveling north on Chapel Hill Road when he left the roadway and crashed into a utility pole, Sheriff’s Deputy Sandra Rogers said.
The driver was taken to Centegra Hospital – McHenry with minor injuries.
The man’s name has not been released.
He was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash, Rogers said.
