McHenry man, woman charged in police drug investigation

Pair was found with heroin and prescription pills, police say

McHENRY – A McHenry man and woman face drug possession charges after police said they found more than $1,000 worth of heroin and pills at their home.

On Thursday, McHenry County Sheriff’s officers went to a home in the 1200 block of North Green Street, McHenry, where they found about $1,560 worth of drugs, according to a criminal complaint filed in McHenry County court.

A search of the home yielded 2 grams of heroin, 110 Xanax pills, four Klonopin pills and 22 Ativan pills, the complaint stated.

Both 20-year-old Mackenzie Killian and 28-year-old Michael Majewski were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance. The offense typically is punishable by one to three years in prison.

Killian also faces separate charges stemming from a McHenry police investigation, in which she is accused of possessing Adderall, Vyvanse, Concerta, Ritalin and Norco pills, according to a criminal complaint.

Both Majewski and Killian’s bonds were set at $40,000. They must each post $4,000 bail to be released from the McHenry County Jail.

The pair is due in court Tuesday.
