An Algonquin man accused of sexually assaulting two children pleaded not guilty Wednesday morning to a series of child pornography charges.

Richard D. Lampp, 57, already faced natural life in prison if he were to be convicted of sexual assault charges filed against him. A conviction on the new charges could carry another 30-year sentence.

Lampp turned down two plea deals in January, knowing prosecutors claimed to have enough evidence to open a new child pornography case against him.

He’s due back in court May 23.
