Indivisible Illinois 14 and the McHenry County Democratic Party will join to protest the GOP tax bill from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday on the Woodstock Square. The event will mark the one-year anniversary of a similar protest, which demanded that President Donald Trump release his tax returns to the public.
This year, the march’s agenda is to renounce the omnibus tax legislation that was voted into law in December. This legislation benefits the wealthy at the cost of middle- and working-class Americans, while also raising the U.S. deficit to $1 trillion by 2020.
The public is welcome to march, mingle and register to vote.
Indivisible Illinois 14 is a member of the national Indivisible movement – a progressive grass-roots network of local groups to resist the Trump agenda.
