Amber Humphres recorded a hat trick in Johnsburg’s 4-1 win over Marengo in Kishwaukee River Conference soccer action Friday in Johnsburg.
Lauren Winter also scored a goal for the Skyhawks (3-6, 3-3 KRC). Kasidee Hass, Melinda McBride, Megan Jurek and Alexis Connerty each had an assist.
Marengo’s Hannah Scholl scored for the Indians (2-7, 0-5 KRC). Trinity Chanthalansy made 10 saves.
Burlington Central 5, Woodstock North 1: At Woodstock, Janet Cortez scored the only goal for North (8-2, 6-1 KRC), in a loss to defending conference champion Burlington Central (7-1, 5-0 KRC).
Harvard 6, South Beloit 0: At Harvard, Dani McCloud scored four times for Harvard in a nonconference win. McCloud also recorded one assist.
Leslie Castaneda and Maria Mercado also scored goals. Castaneda, Julisa Catalan, and Yesenia Martinez each had one assist. Goalkeeper Bianca Reyes made four saves for Harvard (4-9).
Hampshire 1, Woodstock 1: At Hampshire, Lara Dulaca scored for Hampshire (4-8-1), assisted by Alyssa Dimaano, in a nonconference draw against Woodstock.
Carah Orndahl scored for Woodstock (4-2-3) on an assist from Grace Maidment. Goalkeeper Korrin Mecklenburg made four saves for the Blue Streaks.
Both team scored in the first half and neither could break the draw in the final 40 minutes.
Grayslake Central 8, Crystal Lake Central 5: At Grayslake, Grayslake Central scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth and held on to beat Central. Kenna Kessler and Morgan Paaske hit home runs for the Tigers (3-3). Paaske pitched all six innings, allowing eight earned runs and striking out six.
Paaske went 3 for 4 with two RBIs. Kessler was 1 for 3, driving in two. Ellie Berg went 2 for 3 with a double.
