Michael A. Dortch, 45, is charged with possession of a controlled substance and retail theft. He also was issued citations in connection with driving with a suspended license, driving under the influence of drugs and using an electronic communication device.

According to a criminal complaint filed in McHenry County court, police found Dortch in possession of less than 30 grams of Xanax.

He's also accused of stealing a 30-count box of Allegra Allergy from Walgreens, 100 N. Randall Road, Lake in the Hills, the complaint stated.
