Prairie Ridge to hire new boys basketball, boys soccer, boys lacrosse coaches

Prairie Ridge is set to hire Ryan Smith as head boys basketball coach, according to the Community High School District 155 Board agenda. The hiring is pending board approval at Tuesday's meeting.

Smith will replace Corky Card, who was released as boys basketball coach in April. Card – who has been the varsity coach since the 2002-03 season, going 260-201 and winning five regional titles and a sectional title – recently was approved as the head coach at Dunlap.

Also pending board approval, Prairie Ridge will hire Mark Lewis as head boys soccer coach and Joshua Cole as head boys lacrosse coach.

Lewis will replace Colin Brice, who went 23-14-2 in two seasons. Lewis is set to become the Wolves' third boys soccer coach in four years.
