The McHenry County College Workforce and Community Development and Business programs will offer a PowerPoint series to assist residents with their presentation skills. Courses include PowerPoint Basics in June and PowerPoint Advanced in July.
The series begins with PowerPoint Basics from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. June 6 and 13. After an introduction to PowerPoint’s window components, participants will open and run a presentation and switch between views. Participants also will create a basic presentation; add content; arrange, insert and delete slides; apply templates and design themes; create and edit shapes; and insert WordArt objects.
PowerPoint Advanced completes the series on July 11 and 18. Participants will learn to control global settings by using slide masters and to apply effects such as transitions and timings. Participants will learn more about working with images, including how to include media files, animation and photo albums in a presentation. Other highlights will be using advanced tools for working with SmartArt, tables and charts.
The fee for the series is $319. Attendees can register using course code NTC C26 004. Participants can register for individual courses for $179 each. The PowerPoint Basic course code is NTC S91 004 and the PowerPoint Advanced is NTC S92 001.
