To the Editor:
Honored Barrington Library Board of Trustees members, as a private citizen I attended the special meeting on April 23, and was able to voice my opinion opposing the Village of Barrington re-routing of Lake Zurich Road into, and onto, the property of the library.
I was amazed at how the board researched all of the factors that would have destroyed the library and its surrounding property. You were truly acting as the guardians of the trust that you had pledged to uphold.
You did not fall to the political pressure that the Village of Barrington had imposed upon. You are to be commended as most honorable trustees.
Thank you for your unfailing service.
