Huntley police participate in Tip a Cop for Special Olympics Illinois

Members of the Huntley Police Department will serve as waiters in support of the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Illinois.

For the 15th year in a row, Culver’s will host Tip a Cop in an effort to raise money and awareness for Special Olympics Illinois. The event will be from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Culver’s, 12950 Route 47, Huntley.

During Tip a Cop, Huntley police and Special Olympic athletes will serve food while accepting donations for Special Olympics Illinois. Law Enforcement Torch Run merchandise (hat, shirts and pins) also will be available to buy during the event.

Special Olympics Illinois supports about 23,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities and more than 20,000 young athletes ages 2 to 7 with and without intellectual disabilities from communities throughout the state, including Huntley.
