The Fox River Valley Public Library District’s Board of Trustees will have a vacancy effective Aug. 1.
The position will be filled by way of nomination of a candidate by the board president, subject to approval from the full board.
The candidate must live within the library district, be willing to finish out the current term ending in May, and be willing to run for the trustee position in the April consolidated election. The term of office for a trustee is four years, and they serve without compensation.
The district serves 70,000 residents of Carpentersville, East Dundee, West Dundee, Sleepy Hollow, Gilberts and parts of Algonquin.
