A 21-year-old Woodstock man landed in jail Friday on charges that he burglarized a home and robbed a man with a BB gun, according to the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office.

Jacob Hawley was arrested after a Friday incident in the 13000 block of South Street Road in unincorporated Woodstock, police said.

A sheriff’s supervisor was flagged down by a 55-year-old Woodstock man who said Hawley robbed him at gunpoint. Deputies later found Hawley nearby and arrested him.

Deputies found a black BB handgun and stolen property on Hawley at the time he was taken into custody, police said.

Hawley was charged with aggravated robbery and residential burglary and is scheduled to appear in court at 8:30 a.m. Saturday. His bond has not been set.
