Considered the championship of cardboard boat racing with entrants building and racing boats along a 200-yard course for a variety of awards. "MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHIN' THE MUSICAL," July 27-29, Huntley School District 158 Performing Arts Center, 13719 Harmony Road, Huntley. Presented by Burkhalter Productions, in cooperation with Huntley Community School District 158, featuring a cast of fifth- through tenth-grade students acting, singing and dancing their way through the modern musical version of Shakespeare's classic play. 5K COLOR RUN, 8 a.m. July 28, Lions Park, 1200 Silver Lake Road, Cary. Runners and walkers of all ages are welcome to attend the celebration hosted by the Cary Park District.
