A Hoffman Estates man remained at the McHenry County Jail on Wednesday evening after police said he planned to deliver marijuana, cocaine and ecstasy.
Algonquin police arrested 34-year-old Omar Edwards on Saturday, according to a complaint filed in McHenry County court.
Officers found about 113 ecstasy pills, about 5 grams of cocaine and more than 500 grams of marijuana in Edwards’ possession, according to the complaint.
Police also found drug paraphernalia, the complaint said.
Edwards, of the 2000 block of Bayberry Lane, is charged with possession with intent to deliver cocaine, possession with intent to deliver marijuana and possession with intent to deliver ecstasy.
He also has been charged with possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance, possession of ecstasy and possession of drug paraphernalia.
If Edwards is convicted on one of the most serious charges – possession with intent to deliver either cocaine or ecstasy – he could be sentenced to as many as 15 years in prison.
His bond is set at $500,000, meaning he would need to post $50,000 bail to be released.
Edwards is expected to appear in court Aug. 23.
