Residents now have a new place to buy their hair, skin and beauty products.
Bolingbrook-based Ulta Beauty has opened in Crystal Point Shopping Center, 6000 Route 14.
The store will host a grand opening Friday. The first 100 shoppers will receive a “beauty treat,” according to a company flyer.
Kim Hernandez, who lives in McHenry but works in Crystal Lake, said she’s excited about the new store.
“It’s nice and convenient,” said Hernandez, who recently bought face wash and hair care products at the store. “I’m happy with it.”
Ulta is in a space previously occupied by Sports Authority. Ulta is the largest beauty store chain in the nation.
The company sells fragrances, hair and skin care products, and salon services from about 500 brands.
According to the company website, Ulta aims to be “the most-loved beauty destination of our guests and the most-admired retailer by our Ulta Beauty associates, communities, partners and investors.”
There are two other Ulta stores in McHenry County – at 3206 Shoppers Drive in McHenry and 1804 S. Randall Road in Algonquin.
“We’re excited that Ulta is coming back to the Crystal Lake market,” Crystal Lake economic development manager Heather Maieritsch previously said.
