Richmond-Burton senior Connor Lindley fired a 6-over-par 78 to finish in a three-way tie for fifth place at the Woodstock North Invitational boys golf tournament Thursday at Bull Valley Golf Club in Woodstock.
Lindley made two birdies in his round and shot rounds of 39 on both the front and back nines.
Geneva’s Tyler Isenhart and Loyola’s Peter Radler tied for first at 2-over 74. Deerfield’s Justin Marshall was third at 75, and New Trier’s Edward Seol was fourth at 77.
Loyola put its four scoring golfers in the top 10 and won the team title at 309. Lake Forest (321) was second and Glenbrook South (323) was third.
Locally, Huntley (355) was 10th, R-B (362) was 11th and Woodstock North co-op (384) was 14th.
Jack Wagner shot an 81 to lead Huntley, with Garrett Heinke at 82. R-B’s Jackson Bolman shot an 82, and Woodstock North’s Evan Bridges led the Thunder at 93.
Harvard 180, North Boone 182: At Beaver Creek in Capron, Hunter Gratz shot a 42 and Ray Gerhardt a 43 to lead the Hornets past the Vikings in their nonconference dual meet.
Jake Chupich had a 47 and Saul Osorio a 48 for the Hornets’ other two scores.
Prairie Ridge 192, Richmond-Burton 234: At Chalet Hills in Cary, Morgan Taylor and Elizabeth Tucker shared medalist honors at 45 as the Wolves won the nonconference dual meet.
R-B was led by Lauryn Davis’ 46. Prairie Ridge also had Sophia Pascente at 50 and Grace VanHyfte and Katie Gilmore at 52.
