To the Editor:
The Northwest Herald political cartoon published on Aug. 11 is testimony to the prevalence of fake news. The Herald has the right as a free press to publish such. As a citizen, with the right to free speech, I voice my objection and disdain.
A false narrative, promoted by those who are sore losers still fuming over the 2016 election results, sows discord. The result is anger against voters on the winning side. We are not Nazis, Stalinists, or Maoists.
We are American voters. This despicable portrayal denegrates the Office of the Presidency and slurs millions of voters. As the Herald prints such a false narrative, you are further alienating your readers. Maybe there is no concern here for readers since your skinny paper is known best for its comics and obituaries.
