Registration open for free women’s safety series

Registration is open for the Lake in the Hills Police Department’s free women’s safety series, according to a news release. The three-week program addresses the threats and safety challenges women face. Topics include social/personal safety, social media safety, domestic and dating violence, sexual assault and stalking, defensive tactics and more.

Registration is required as space is limited, with priority given to Lake the Hills residents. Applicants must be female and age 17 or older. Sessions will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Oct. 10 and from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Oct. 17 and Oct. 24 at the Safety Education Center, 1109 Crystal Lake Road, Lake in the Hills.

To register, download the registration form and waiver available at lith.org/police/page/womens-safety-series. Then email the form by Sept. 28 to communityrelations@lith.org, fax to 847-658-7908 or mail to 1115 Crystal Lake Road, Lake in the Hills, IL 60156.
