Letter: The church needs change

To the Editor:

My thoughts on the Catholic Church’s “9/11 crisis.” The use of children in abnormal and abusive ways has been going on for centuries. I propose to Pope Francis, Cardinal Cupick of Chicago and Bishop Malloy of Rockford a new approach to the old standard ways of thinking. The church needs change!

Like many, I have my fears on what I am hearing and seeing around me. Americans face enormous modern day problems at work and in families.

Is not God, an equal opportunity heart employer? Men AND women should be working together, for God’s Kingdom on Earth. If I had any vote with Jesus for the things I would like to have in his kingdom; hopefully, the vote would be cast for no more prejudices against women.

I would like to have more women in positions of every church, working side by side with men, to build stronger communities in America. Faithful and educated women deacons, working with men deacons.

There is a shortage of priests! We need more professional leaders in such a huge church.

Let women aide you! Faithful professional educated women can aide so many souls find hope in giving guidance and aide, for those seeking help and the love of God.

For those who think Christianity does little good for anyone, please find a movie called, “Same Kind of Different as Me” and view it.

If we don’t change, what will happen to our children now and future years?
