McHenry County College’s Workforce, Community and Business Programs is accepting registrations for "Recruiting and Keeping Talent," a series of interactive workshops from Oct. 24 through Nov. 15. Workshops can be taken individually or as a series.
The following workshops are featured:
Effective Interviewing Skills and Competency Based Interviewing: Learn how to interview for the behaviors, knowledge and motivations that are needed to be successful in a job. Interviewing problems, how competencies define the requirements of a job and other topics are featured. Class takes place from 8 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, Oct. 24. Cost is $175. Retaining Talent: Leaders will learn their critical role in retaining organizational talent. Learn to identify what it takes to keep employees happy and satisfied and how to conduct “quick check” discussions for retaining valuable employees. Class takes place from 8 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, Oct. 31. Cost is $175. Use course code NTL S08 001 to register.
Conscious Conversations: Maximize your opportunity for having healthier, more productive discussions with improved results and strengthened relationships. Learn new strategies for dialogue that you might be avoiding. Become more conscious during conversations by raising your conversational intelligence. Class takes place from 8 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, Nov. 7. Cost is $129. Use course code: NTL S24 001 to register.
How to Work with Diverse Populations: Studies show that diverse teams have great potential to be high-performing, creative and innovative. Participants will learn how to develop skills to act as facilitators of change and growth for their teams. Class takes place from 8 a.m. to noon on Thursday, Nov. 15. Cost is $129. Participants can register for individual workshops or the entire four-workshop series. The series fee is discounted by $59 for a cost of $549. To register for the full series, use course code NTL S95 001. The workshops take place from 8 a.m. to noon Oct. 24, 31 and Nov. 7 and 15 at the MCC Shah Center, 4100 W. Shamrock Lane in Woodstock.
