A Crystal Lake business is creating the official Women’s March Chicago merchandise.

Janice Means, owner of Fully Promoted, 6215 Northwest Highway, said she’s grateful for the opportunity to make, market and sell products that benefit the organization.

“I think that the [2016 election] was a wake-up call not to sit on your butt,” Means said, adding that she supports the #MeToo movement and the LGBT community. “You got to get out there and vote.”

Means said she was inspired to support the progressive effort after the 2016 election.

“Each individual woman has a reason why they want to be part of the movement,” Means said, adding that she first learned of the nonprofit after friends added her to the Women’s March Facebook page.

Women’s March Chicago will take over Grant Park on Saturday for a “March to the Polls” event. It’s a follow-up to the January march and is designed to spur voter turnout.

“This rally and march is a critical next step in voter engagement, as women deliver on the promise that they are changing outcomes at the ballot box to protect a fragile democracy,” according to the WMC website.
