To the Editor:
Greenwood Township is the best.
There has been a lot of talk about townships lately. Townships are good. Townships are bad. But I really don’t want to get into the politics of it all here.
Just as I would complain if I didn’t think things were being done efficiently or correctly using taxpayer money, I feel that I also need to commend when that is deserved as well. I live on a rural road in Greenwood Township. I need to say that in my opinion, the Greenwood Township crews do an amazing job of maintaining the road and area that I live
In the summer, the road is maintained, patched or resurfaced, restriped, etc. The shoulders are kept up to level, the grass and weeds are cut. The trash that some low life decided it was someone else’s job to clean is picked up. The Greenwood Township employees do an excellent job in the summer.
If you think the work they do in the summer is something, you should see the job they do in the winter. The road are completely maintained. When there is a threat of snow, they are out with the trucks driving the roads and coating the intersections and curves. If there is snow, they are plowing and before I get up for work, the roads are clear. If there is ice, the curves and intersections are treated. They do an even more amazing job in the winter than they do in the summer.
I am writing this to let them know that I appreciate all the work they do. I appreciate how well maintained the township road I live on is kept. I appreciate them and I thank them for all they do.
