To the Editor:
I grew up in a political home. I've worked in federal and state governments and served locally. I have seen elected officials who were deeply rooted in making a positive impact and those who were out for their own agendas.
My husband, Jim Condon, McHenry Township Highway Commission, is one of the most honorable people I know. He could make more money elsewhere but chooses to serve his community. But now he is being attacked by a group, led by one individual, who has been trying to eliminate township government for decades.
While I don't have an issue with someone seeking to promote their cause, I have a problem when they try to do it by disparaging another's reputation and attacking their family. It shows a lack of integrity. When you stick to the facts you do not need to attack another person. Learn the character of those you are listening to and supporting!
