To the Editor:
I have been a part of the McHenry High School District 156 community for more than 20 years. As a teacher, as a community member and as a parent, I know very well the quality of our high school. I also know this to be true – excellence in education requires up-to-date facilities.
For far too long, we have been getting by with what we have, just to get by. That is unacceptable! Our students deserve better. Voting yes to the District 156 referendum will give our children a better start in their college and career paths.
The renovations are necessary. The state-of-the-art Science, Technology and Industry Center is needed. Vote yes to our schools and our children’s future on Nov. 6.
