Letter: Important news

To the Editor:

Let's look at paper money.

You cannot print a lot of paper money and expect it to be worth something. Money is the result of work (producing a bushel of corn) or using your mental capacity. Many people (half the population) expects the government to print me a check with little or no work. The 10 percent of the people that pay 70 percent of the tax are supposed to work and pay the tax.

Let's look at the world the way the rich 10 percent would. Society provides me with fire protection, police, roads, etc., and I like to live here in the U.S. tax me too much and I will find someplace else to live at a lower cost. If I'm rich, I don't need the public bus, I don't need public schools and many other things.

Little has been said about the people moving out of Illinois because of taxes. Rich people are also moving out of the U.S. In the last articles I read on the subject six to seven years ago, there was a seven-month waiting life to give up your passport in the London counsel office.

Many important news stories on things affecting society are not reported. The news media overkills the news on the Laquan McDonald story and they miss more important things that affect society. When people are moving out of state, you don't need extra schools, churches, houses, and shopping centers. Look at the old mining towns out west when the gold ran out. So did the jobs, so did the town.

Remember, you need management to build the factory, store. Money to build the factory, then you get jobs.
