Huntley sophomore Andrew Lira recorded a pin in nine seconds at 132 pounds Thursday as the Red Raiders cruised to a 60-13 Fox Valley Conference dual win over McHenry in Huntley.
Huntley, which improved to 8-1 and 3-0 in FVC duals, also received pins from Jake Jensen (106), Jeremy Jakowitsch (138), Ryder Hunkins (152), Gannon Kosowski (160), David Ferrante (170), Nik Wise (220) and Matt Burba (285).
Sam Henkle (113) and Grant Hochmuth (120) each won by decision for Huntley. Brody Hallin (145) and Nolan Wiese (195) both won for the Warriors (2-8, 1-2), with Wiese earning a 10-1 major decision.
Crystal Lake Central 43, Prairie Ridge 27: At Crystal Lake, the Tigers beat the host Wolves in FVC action. Dillon Carlson (113) and Andrew Hudec (220) had pins for Central. Brock Montford recorded a major decision at 182 pounds, and Andrew Hopkins won by decision at 120.
Woodstock triangular: At Woodstock, Harvard topped Woodstock, 53-27, and Durand-Pecatonica, 45-33, to sweep the triangular. Going 2-0 for the Hornets were Nik Jimenez (120), Sebastian Esquivel (126) and Nathan Rosas (195). Esquivel picked up two pins, while Bryce Fiegel (106), Uriel Herrera (113), Brett Lovell (132), Damyan Michel (152) and Jesus Marquez (170) each had one.
Cooper Adams (145), Israel Arellano (160) and Gavin Loiselle (220) won by pin for the Blue Streaks against Harvard, and Matt Hickey (285) won by decision.
Alden-Hebron 53, Hinckley-Big Rock 45: At Hinckley, Eden Wanderer scored
15 points, and the Giants won a nonconference game over the Royals.
Rachel Pahl scored 12 points, and Kylee Winter had 10 for A-H (6-2), which overcame 10-of-28 shooting from the foul line.
McHenry 2,909, Waukegan 2,443: At Raymond’s Bowl in Johnsburg, Cam Begley bowled a 653 series to lead the Warriors to a win against the Bulldogs. Begley had games of 256, 175 and 222.
Dalton Atwater was only two pins behind Begley with a 651 series, with games of 220, 221 and 210. Jacob McLean (611 series) had games of 235 and 225 for McHenry, and Meier Glab had a 515 series with a high game of 190. Shane McCue added a 479 series.
