McHenry man found guilty of grooming teen for explicit photographs

A 37-year-old McHenry man was found guilty of grooming a teenager to send him explicit photographs, according to a news release from the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office.

A jury convicted Markus Hubbell on Wednesday of trying to entice a teen in March 2016.

Hubbell’s sentencing is scheduled for March 1 in front of McHenry County Judge Sharon Prather.

The case was investigated by members of the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office and prosecuted by Assistant State’s Attorneys Rita Gara and Randi Freese.
