A Steinhafels spokeswoman promises a new store will offer locals a comfortable shopping experience when it opens next month.
Steph Graham, the company’s public relations and marketing manager, said the new Crystal Lake store, 5846 Route 14, is designed to make shoppers feel like they’re at home. The grand opening is set for Feb. 15.
“We have a hospitality area with coffee and home-baked cookies,” Graham said, adding that the store will be “family-friendly.”
She said the store has strategically placed partitions and decorations to make customers feel at ease in the “huge” 100,000-square-foot store.
Graham said the store will offer specialty and regularly priced items. It also will have an outlet area in the back.
“All of our stores have a clearance section,” she said.
Graham said the Wisconsin-based company is excited to open its second Illinois store in Crystal Lake. The other northern Illinois location is in Vernon Hills.
“We’re getting a ton of positive responses on social media from people in the area,” she said. “We’re seeing really great numbers.”
Graham said sales associates are trained to provide customers expert advice on furnishing bedrooms, kitchens and living areas.
She said the mattress department is one of the company’s most successful areas.
“We have mattress experts. Our associates take training to learn about the latest mattress technology,” she said.
“We also have our own factory-direct mattress line.”
Steinhafels is the fastest-growing furniture and mattress retailer in Wisconsin, according to the company’s website, and it is the state’s leading furniture and mattress retailer.
