Marengo girls basketball defeated Woodstock, 54-32, on Thursday in Woodstock, locking up a share of the Kishwaukee River Conference title with Burlington Central. Both teams finished 11-1 in KRC play.
Jennifer Heinberg and Jordan Parker each scored 14 points for the Indians (22-6, 11-1) in Thursday’s win over Woodstock. Marengo also equaled last season's win total with 22.
For the Blue Streaks (5-23, 2-10), Erin Lockwood led the way with 10 points and six rebounds.
Burlington Central 50, Woodstock North 35: At Burlington, the Rockets clinched a share of the KRC title. Burlington Central (21-7, 11-1) and Marengo split their two head-to-head conference games. North dropped to 11-16 and 4-8 in the KRC.
Crystal Lake South 73, Woodstock North 45: At Crystal Lake, Matt Reall scored 20 points and Tyler Miller added 19 for the Gators in a nonconference win over North. Brock Jewson poured in 10 points for South (18-6).
Zach White led North (12-10) with 14 points. Carter Coalson and Osvaldo Javier Salas each scored six points.
Huntley 57, Jacobs 49: At Huntley, Uchenna Egekeze led the way for the Red Raiders with 19 points in an FVC win over Jacobs. Ryan Sroka scored 17 points and Ryan Crosby added 13 for Huntley (13-13, 7-6).
Jacobs fell to 10-12 and 4-8 in the FVC.
Dundee-Crown 45, McHenry 39: At McHenry, Dundee-Crown (17-6, 8-4) defeated McHenry (2-23, 2-11) in FVC play.
IMSA 65, Alden-Hebron 38: At Hebron, Gideon Schauer had 17 points, three rebounds and three steals for the Giants in a Northeastern Athletic Conference loss. Mikey Ellison added 11 points for Alden-Hebron.
