A two-vehicle crash Monday morning on Route 47 north of Del Webb Boulevard sent one person to the hospital with minor injuries, Huntley Deputy Police Chief Michael Klunk said.
Officers were dispatched at 7:21 a.m. to the area when a 2017 Jeep heading south on Route 47 lost control after steering into gravel on the median, Klunk said.
The Jeep ended up clipping a 2012 Ford F-150 in front of it. The collision caused the Jeep to end up on its side, Klunk said.
Only the drivers were in both vehicles involved, Klunk said.
The driver of the Jeep was sent to Northwestern Medicine Huntley Hospital with minor injuries and was cited for improper passing and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, Klunk said. The driver of the F-150 did not require hospitalization.
