Woodstock D-200 to promote activity, literacy at Roll & Read event

Families from five Woodstock Community Unit School District 200 schools are invited to get active and celebrate reading at the first Roll & Read Campus Connection event April 26 at Northwood Middle School.

Woodstock Willie, Alondra Flores (Miss Woodstock), Mayor Brian Sager and Woodstock library representatives will participate in the event, which will take place from 5 to 6:30 p.m. There will be treats from Papa Murphy’s, Culver’s and Kona Ice along with book giveaways.

Families from Verda Dierzen Early Learning Center, Mary Endres Elementary School, Northwood Middle School, Woodstock North High School and families with pre-K and life skills students from Greenwood Elementary School are invited to attend.

Families are invited to circle the Northwood track and there will be story readings between laps.
