Sheriff's office: Bull Valley crash caused by driver attempting to remove snow from windshield

A single-vehicle crash Sunday morning at South Valley Hill Road left the driver hospitalized with a possible broken ankle, McHenry County Sheriff’s Deputy Sandra Rogers said.

The crash occurred at 9:47 a.m. when the driver tried to remove snow from their window and crashed into a tree, Rogers said in an email.

The driver was sent to Northwestern Medicine McHenry Hospital.

About 8 inches of snow fell Sunday in McHenry County, according to the National Weather Service.
