2019 Harvard Milk Days Queen is crowned

Alexandra Gast has been chosen as Harvard Milk Days Queen. She will receive a $1,500 scholarship from Harvard Milk Days. Gast also received the title of Miss Photogenic which is chosen by the judges in the afternoon of the event.

She is and has been very active in 4H and FFA where she has earned many awards for her livestock. Gast enjoys farming, pottery, archery, cooking, sewing, crafting and reading novels.

She will be attending McHenry County College and then plans to transfer to the University of Wisconsin to study molecular and physiological biology. Gast’s goal is to become a large-animal veterinarian.

Jennah Brookner was the first runner-up. Aaliyah Torres was the second runner-up. Mariana Pichardo was voted the third runner-up, and Ariel Torres was the fourth runner-up.
The first through fourth runner-ups also received scholarships for $750, $400, $200, and $150, respectively.
