Lutz has worked at Home State Bank for 41 years. Her involvement includes ongoing work with the Crystal Lake Chamber of Commerce, having served in every leadership role: past Crystal Lake Chamber Board of Directors, Crystal Lake Finance Committee member, Crystal Lake Chamber ambassador since 1996 (chairwoman in 2009-2010), Member of Year 2000, Presidential Award of Excellence 2011, ATHENA Award 1996 and Carl E. Lutz also has chaired many chamber events since 1990, including Community Clean Up Day, Community Harvest, Crystal Lake Home & Business EXPO and the Chamber Annual Dinner, along with being the emcee of that event.

Lutz is involved in her church as well. She has been a member of Resurrection Catholic Church for more than 30 years. There, she served in roles as head of finance, core leader of the youth ministry, and also was involved with community outreach, the Appalachia Mission Trip for
30 years and choir.

Lutz is a resident of Crystal Lake, and all of the above were achieved while spending time with her family – six children and 16 grandchildren.

Lutz has demonstrated consistent and long-term commitment to the City of Crystal Lake and the Crystal Lake Chamber of Commerce. She is recognized by many for her years of community involvement.

The parade continues on with many favorite entries including the Crystal Lake Lions Club, Crystal Lake Strikers, The Midwest Renegades Equestrian Drill Team and 144th Army Band, Illinois National Guard, the Jesse White Tumbling Team and the South Shore Drill Team. New this year are the Kingpins Drum Line, Sparkler’s Baton Team and the Prairie Ridge High School Dance Team.
