2 injured in Route 22 crash in Fox River Grove

Two people were sent to the hospital, one via Flight for Life helicopter, Tuesday afternoon after a motorcycle-versus-vehicle crash at Routes 14 and 22 in Fox River Grove, Police Chief Eric Waitrovich said.

The driver of the motorcycle was flown to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, Waitrovich said. The driver of the other vehicle was taken to Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington.

A portion of Route 22 from Route 14 to Ski Hill Road in Fox River Grove was closed Tuesday afternoon after the crash, according to a tweet from the village’s account.

Waitrovich said the road was closed while the Lake County Sheriff’s traffic crash investigative team was investigating the crash.

Social media posts from Fox River Grove about 4:30 p.m. said that the road was reopened.
