Woman suffers 'serious injuries' in early morning crash: Fox River Grove police

A 19-year-old woman was flown by Flight For Life to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville with serious injuries following a car crash early Friday, according Fox River Grove police.

Police responded at 2:45 a.m. to a call of a car crash with injuries in the 700 block of Barberry Trail in Fox River Grove, according to a news release.

The preliminary investigation indicates a 25-year-old Fox River Grove man was driving a Subaru sedan in which the female was a passenger when he lost control and crashed into a wooded embankment, the release said.

Lake County Sheriff’s Office Technical Crash Investigations Unit assisted at the site.

The driver, and two other passengers, were taken to Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington with minor injuries.

Fox River Grove police are still investigating.
