Richmond-Burton District 157 to hold special meeting Wednesday

The board will discuss an unspecified "personnel issue" in closed session

The Richmond-Burton High School District 157 board plans to hold a special meeting Wednesday, according to district documents.

The special meeting will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Richmond-Burton High School, 8311 Route 31, Richmond, in the school library.

The district put out an agenda with no description of items Friday. The agenda was updated Monday morning after an inquiry from the Northwest Herald.

The only item on an updated agenda is a closed session “to consider information pertaining to the appointment, employment, dismissal, performance, discipline and compensation of employees,” according to the agenda.

The board in closed session will discuss a “personnel issue” before returning to open session, according to the agenda.

Action might be taken at the meeting, according to the agenda.

The district is based in Richmond and its most recent total enrollment is 666 students, according to data from the Illinois State Board of Education. The district consists of one high school.

Superintendent Tom Lind did not respond to a request for additional information on the meeting Monday.
