Dogs killed in Hebron house fire, police say

A house fire Friday morning in Hebron killed three dogs despite first responders’ attempts to administer CPR, police said.

The blaze began about 7:15 a.m. at a home in the 12300 block of Jacob Avenue, where smoke was seen from the front of the two-story residence, Hebron police said.

It was not clear how the fire started, and no residents were home at the time, officials said.

The Hebron Police Department and Hebron-Alden-Greenwood Fire Protection District, as well as several surrounding agencies, responded to the incident. An estimate of the damage was not available Friday.
