Explosion in Beirut kills four

The ASSOCIATED PRESS BEIRUT, Lebanon -- An explosion rocked Beirut’s waterfront Wednesday, killing four people and wounding 10, security officials said.

A car was on fire where the blast occurred in the Manner neighborhood near two popular beaches.

The explosion was the latest in a series to hit Lebanon in the last three weeks as its troops battled Islamic militants in a Palestinian refugee camp in the northern part of the country.
