Arrest made after 2 brothers killed in Bloomington shooting

BLOOMINGTON  (AP) — A 30-year-old central Illinois man was in custody Wednesday after a shooting in an apartment building left two men dead and two others injured.

Police arrested Michael Brian Brown of Bloomington on two counts of murder in connection with the Tuesday night shootings, Bloomington Police said in a statement.

Police say the shootings stemmed from an argument that turned into a fight. Investigators say the incident was “not directly gang-related, not directly drug-related and was not a random act.”

Authorities did not immediately release the victims’ names or any further details on a motive.
