Re: Joe Priola’s June 10 letter and Robert Meale’s June 12 letter.

The fringe of the Republican Party is at it again.

Priola and Meale are perfect examples of Rush Limbaugh following extremists. When you can’t win on the issues you dredge up anything: Lapel pins, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Bill Ayers. These false issues mean nothing. Gas is $4 a gallon, people need good paying jobs, people need affordable health care, and we are spending $30 billion a month in a useless, unending war.

By the way, Rev. Wright was a Marine and I was in the Navy. Did Priola and Meale defend our country?

I would bet not.
