D-158 contract negotiations to pick up again Sunday

By the NORTHWEST HERALD

HUNTLEY – Negotiations for a teacher contract ended early Saturday morning and are expected to resume Sunday at 5 p.m., according to School District 158 officials.

Both Larry Snow, a member of the board of education, and Julie Hunter, union co-president, said they would abide by the wishes of federal mediator and not disclose what was said at Friday night’s negotiation-session.

The 577-member Huntley Education Association filed an intent-to-strike notice Monday. Classes are scheduled to start Aug. 25.
