McHenry man charged with DUI after motorcycle crash
McHENRY – A McHenry motorcyclist was charged with driving under the influence after police said he crossed the center line and collided with a Jeep on Tuesday night.
Scott L. Didier, 46, also was charged with improper lane use after the crash about 9:06 p.m. near McHenry.
Police said Didier was traveling north in the area of 3011 Ringwood Road on a 1998 Harley-Davidson when he struck a southbound 2007 Jeep Wrangler, driven by 21-year-old Kimberly L. Consolo of Cary.
Flight for Life responded and Didier was taken to Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge. Didier was listed in serious condition Wednesday morning, a hospital spokeswoman said.
His passenger, Heather A. Derer, 34, of Cary, was taken to Centegra Hospital – McHenry.
Police said neither was wearing a helmet.
Consolo and her 16-year-old passenger were treated and released.
