BURTONS BRIDGE – The Toys for Tots toy collection season kicks off with a motorcycle run Sunday in Burtons Bridge.

Motorcycle riders will play poker and have the chance to win cash and raffle prizes on a 75-mile ride that stops at bars in Woodstock and Wonder Lake on the way back to Burtons Bridge, said Vicky Meyer, president of event sponsor Fox Valley Children's Organization. The Toys for Tots Season Kickoff Benefit Motorcycle Run, in its eighth year, also is sponsored by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Marine Air Control Group 48.

Registration is $20 a biker or $25 a couple in advance through www.fvco.org, or $25 a rider and $30 a couple the day of the event. The first riders leave Kief's Reef, 3505 S. Wright Road in Burtons Bridge at Route 176 and the Fox River, at 10 a.m. Sunday, and the last bikes go out at noon. Registration is free with $100 in pledges. Go to www.fvco.org to download a pledge sheet.

A continental breakfast is included with the registration fee. Admission to a 3 p.m. party after the ride is $10 at the door or one unwrapped toy to donate to a needy child through Toys for Tots.
