Boy who fell through window taken to Lutheran General
ALGONQUIN – A 13-month-old boy who fell through a screen from a second-story window was transferred to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge this afternoon.
The boy, whose name was not released, was intially transported to Sherman Hospital in Elgin after police were called to the 700 block of Glacier Parkway at 9:10 a.m. Upon arrival, they performed CPR until an ambulance arrived from Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Fire Protection District.
Hospital officials would not release the boy's condition.
The incident is under investigation, but is believed to be an accident, and no charges have been filed, police said. The Department of Children and Family Services was contacted as required by state law.
