Lafontaine and Pabian

JOHNSBURG – Stephanie Lafontaine and Bryon Pabian, both of Johnsburg, were married at 2 p.m. Oct. 11, 2008, on the baseball field at the Johnsburg Community Club. The ceremony was officiated by Lynn Kosick.

She is the daughter of Michael and Pamela Lafontaine of Johnsburg. He is the son of Walter and Alice Pabian of Wonder Lake.

Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a strapless, A-line ivory and champagne dress with a candy bow at the waistline and antique beading along the bottom. She carried a hand-clutch bouquet of ivory and champagne-colored roses.

Bridesmaids were Julie Lafontaine of Johnsburg, sister-in-law of the bride; Lynn Pabian of Chicago, sister of the bridegroom; Jean Glorch of Salem, Wis., sister-in-law of the bride; and Erin O’Malley of Johnsburg, childhood friend. Flower girl was Katelyn Jensen of McHenry, niece of the bride’s sister-in-law.

Best man was Zach Mazur of Pullman, Wash. Groomsmen were Bryan Lafontaine of Johnsburg, brother of the bride; Shane Patterson of Chicago, fiancé of the bridegroom’s sister; Don Glorch of Salem,  brother of the bride; and Adam Miller of Wonder Lake, childhood friend. Ring bearer was Paul Glorch of Salem, nephew of the bride.

Nuptial music was provided by Carl Hansen the Music Master of Johnsburg. The reception took place at the Johnsburg Community Club. The couple have plans for a wedding trip to Door County, Wis., in February.

The bride is a 2002 graduate of Johnsburg High School. She is a baker in the cafeteria of the James C. Bush Elementary School in Johnsburg.

The bridegroom is a 2001 graduate of Woodstock High School. He is an operating engineer with the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 150.

They make their home in Johnsburg.
