Two knights to the rescue

To the Editor:

A thank you to complete strangers:

Friday morning on the way to work, my car engine lost power, failed and I drove into and got stuck in a ditch on Ringwood Road between Wonder Lake and Ringwood.

The temperature was 13 below zero.

With the wind chill the temperature was -28 and the wind was 7 mph. Needless to say, I was freezing.

Stuck there, in my car, trying to think warm thoughts while waiting for help to come from home, two knights in shining armor stopped.

Without missing a beat or apparently noticing the bitter cold, they pulled my car from the ditch with their truck. These men were complete strangers and I’m sorry to say that formal introductions weren’t made.

I am extremely grateful that they got me out of the ditch. While the engine of my car is not working 100 percent, it was able to recover. I want to say thank you.

Thank you for getting me out of that ditch and thank you for being knights in shining armor to a complete stranger.
