Woodstock, Crystal Lake lose power for about 1 hour
WOODSTOCK – About 24,000 customers in ComEd’s western service area lost power Monday night for about an hour, but the cause remains under investigation.
Pam Anton, spokeswoman for ComEd, said the outage affected parts of Crystal Lake, Genoa, Belvidere and Woodstock. She added that the cause and origin of the outage has yet to be determined.
The outage started about 8:20 p.m. and lasted until about 9:20 p.m., according to Woodstock Police.
Scott Wessel, a Woodstock Firefighter and Emergency Medical Technician, said crews helped at least three people with electric oxygen masks while the power was out.
