Barreto to join

LAKE IN THE HILLS – Denise Barreto will join incumbents Stephen Harlfinger and Robert Huckins on the Lake in the Hills Village Board.
In a close race, Barreto, Harlfinger and Huckins beat out candidates Shelly Forté, Jeffrey Siegel and Joseph Wright for the three open trustee positions.
Harlfinger received the most votes with 616, according to unofficial totals. Barreto had 587 votes, and Huckins had 569 votes.
Forté, Wright, and Siegel received 510, 434 and 312 votes, respectively.
